Czech Republic has made great success in promulgating the Global Peace Index for 2016.
Organization of the Institute for Economics and Peace, which index the tenth year of publication,
it has identified as the sixth safest country in the world. In the competition of 163 Independent
States defeated traditionally neutral country such as Switzerland or Sweden. This is the best position in history.
World Peace Index annually offers a comprehensive view of assessing individual countries on the planet in terms of peacefulness,
which is mainly currently one of the primary criteria when choosing a tourism destination. The index assesses a total of 23 criteria
that define the internal and external conditions for peace and the overall security of the country.
Scientists examine factors such as the level of violence and crime in the country, terrorist activity, the likelihood of violent demonstrations,
political stability, the number of police officers, army size, military spending, international and domestic conflicts, and so on.
Czech Republic in the prestigious defeated almost all its neighbors. Germany placed 16th, 22nd position occupied Poland,
Slovakia occupied the 24th position. Austria ranks third.
Europe has traditionally been declared as the most peaceful continents of the world. Interest of tourists in this destination can raise the fact
that seven of the ten safest countries in the world are here. Visitors preferring safety should be part of their holiday directed mainly to Central Europe.
